I wouldn't fret, Kathryn. I have a similar inclination to feel guilty about such things. Get better, and allow your body to feel ill for a while. I find that helps it sort things out more quickly.
You have to look after yourself, otherwise you'll keep feeling worse and turn it into something that takes you out of work for longer. Listen to what your body is telling you (unless, like me, your body keeps saying "just one more chocolate, the calories aren't important").
