A friend had been struggling similarly, and then she found a new fandom and has been going pretty strong. It’s not a fandom I’m in, so I haven’t been reading any of her new work and that makes me sad.
Hopefully both of you will find a new fandom I also get into and we can all be our happy selves. In the meantime, I’m sure you’ll figure out that OFIC situation and everything will work out there, too.

It may just be that you need to refill your well. I had a period of almost ten years where I wasn't writing anything at all until I found fanfic. I thought I was done.
So hang in there! Take a guilt-free break from writing, absorb some other media, and see how things go. Trying to writing some orig fic could be a great way to explore your writing in a different way. Just don't put pressure on yourself. Just see what comes.
