I'm just getting in from a long weekend trip to Chincoteague Island. I can't beleive it's already the next to last day of the year. I haven't had the time to think about 2013, or even the year ahead. I feel good about a lot of things, some things I could feel better about. Hopefully I'll write a recap of 2013 before I forget everything.

I was talking to a friend the other day about something interesting that developed over the course of the year is how much I love writing. Every time I write, it feels like a mental exercise, having to problem solve my way of how I want to describe my thoughts and feelings. It's crazy to think that 2002 will eventually feel as far away as 1902 one day.

The days after Christmas and before New Years Eve are probably my favorite time of the year. I love these days because they are kind of pointless in a way. Just looking at the Friends' Year In Review on facebook and thinking how cool it is to have awesome friends and stuff.

I never appreciated everything my parents did for me until I left home. Despite this, I'm a pretty bad child and I never call them to let them know that I'm thinking of them.

There are seriously never enough hours in a day. This morning I was summoned to jury duty but I didn't get called into a case. I've never been inside a court room before, besides a boy scout's field trip when I was still in elementary school, so I'm pretty curious of how it all goes down.
