the first of my friends has gotten engaged. i am genuinely very happy for her, but it still gives me the willies. they haven't even started planning the wedding yet, it seems, so i think i can get over it my then. i guess, it had to happen some time.

i think i may have lost my camera. fuck.

EDIT: nevermind. someone decided to clean up after me. awesome. normally, i'd be kind of irritated, but i'm too happy that i found it to care. i'm going to go do something fun outside now that i've destroyed my recently cleaned room looking for it.

yesterday, i got to swab the noses of two extremely cute holstein calves. i then processed those swabs to retrieve cells and then processed those cells to retrieve RNA. i think i'm pretty good at it. at least, i'm getting RNA and no one else is having the same luck it seems. i'll probably do much the same tomorrow, until the process is perfected. i ( Read more... )
