Actually you probably don't. I haven't hung out with Phil and DJ and crew in a couple months. I've also had class on Mondays and Tuesdays so I haven't been playing with the gang up at GotGame. The only one you probably know out of my current gaming group is Drew. The rest are all just people who came to sword fighting and decided to game together.

He probably had left the group in Edwardsville before you'd even joined.

Careful BMD, even new DMs are very protective of their game- not like I needed to say that, I know you know :P Might want to see if they want pointers to begin with. He might think that he has a great game going and that nothing needs to be done...Oh well - you know him better ^_^;

Nah. I think Rec (the guy running it, his sword-fighting name is Recazon so we call him Rec for short) knows that there's issues. Bear, the GM who created the world, has also been sitting in on the campaign both for the chance to play in his own world and to act as an advisor. I made a comment to him right after the game to the effect that the kids were too immature to appreciate the intricacies of his world, and he agreed. (I waited till no one else was in the room. :P) Rec is learning to DM from Bear. Hopefully he'll appreciate another DM's insight.
