Ok, now I'm even more lost. I could understand saving a few hundred dollars for tomorrow. I mean, it's going to be Friday. I could go to DiCarlo's and have a lot of fun with a few hundred dollars for tomorrrow.

Not that I really enjoy strip joints. They're too loud, and things are raunchier at home.

WTF is katejaneway?

My vote would be for the electric 6-string, just because I can't play guitar to save my life and have a great appreciation for those who can.

Get a bass guitar and amp?

Cool idea. It's something I plan to do... once I learn how to play the acoustic Yamaha 6-string I've already got. That's on my list of things to do when I have money - get lessons on that. So, if you get a bass, you could teach me... except you never taight me the acoustic, so... maybe not.
Leaving aside my own selfish motivations... I think it's a cool idea. Obviously, since it's on my own list of things to do. :-)

Get a new synthesizer and amp?

Feh. Been there, done that. Try something new.

Get an electric 6 string and amp?

Also a cool idea, I'm down with that. So far, my favorite idea. But only because I want the bass for myself. ;-)

Clean out Van Curler's Music across the street from my office?

Um... probably more money than you've got. Nifty thought, though.

Get a drum kit? *vehemently shakes head in the universally accepted gesture for NOOOOOOOOOOO ( ... )

I see a theme... I think you should get something with an amp, and forget about the savings bonds, since they are dull and this is fun money.
