Everyone staying at the hostel will be asked to be a part of the community by doing a daily chore consisting of something like sweeping the deck, common room, or the screen porch, helping to clean the kitchen, working in the gardens, feeding the chickens and ducks or something of that nature. It shouldn’t take you over 15 or 20 minutes.

the msot bizarre thing about that is the fact that I read it as "feeding the children and ducks" the first time through.
