My network kinda depends on dodo, unfortunately dodo is kinda broken at the moment.

It started when she rebooted herself, and then came up with the RAID mirror broken. So I asked her to rebuild the RAID mirror, said she did it, then on a reboot the RAID mirror broke again. So I tried it one more time and went out with hazeln for a crumble. When we got ( Read more... )

At work we once had a cluster called eris, after the greek goddess of strife and chaos, and true to it's name it was a constant source of support problems. Somehow I think naming your server dodo, as in "dead-as-a" might not have been a good idea :p

Its about 5 years old and its behaved itself up until now. Now its being a right pain in the butt!

It sort of evolved, one bit at a time, over about 10 years. Gives me something to play with at home, I way of learning bits of technology, after all I'm a unix geek as well as a transport one!
