Hey...anyone who reads this... lets keep the posts work safe, or if not work safe, cut them please. Just out of respect for those who are able to log on at work. k? Thanks
No offense, but no. That's an unreasonable request to make. This is supposed to be a journal. A place where people communicate their feelings to the rest of the world. If those feelings just happen to not be work-friendly, then it's not your place to tell people not to express them. If you're worried about work-safeness, then don't open LiveJournal at work. Just because you're able to log on at work means the rest of us have to censur our posts? That's kind of ridiculous and very unreasonable. If you don't want your co-workers to see inappropriate material, then check this website after hours, at home. Just because you have an office job doesn't mean the rest of us should lose our freedom of expression.
or you guys could respect that not all of us want giant naked pictures popping out on the screen regardless of where we are located. Course it would be easier to just take ya off my friends list, then there is no problem. I just think people have lost their sense of respect and some of the curtousy given in day to day life because people are so intertwined on the internet.
I understand that it was probably not wise to post a giant picture of nakedness (and actually against the rules of LiveJournal). But my main problem is in your request. Who's to decide what is work-safe and what isn't? For instance, if I write a post that is rife with foul language, every other word the f-word, is that what you don't want people to post? Because that has nothing to do with respecting other people. It has to do with expressing feelings. I don't think I've ever posted anything work-unfriendly, so this isn't to defend myself. But do you understand how your request is a little unreasonable
( ... )
i dont mean posts with swearing and stuff like that, i meant full on naked pictures of guys. it really is not necessary. I dont care about expressing yourself in words and pictures just dont make them pornographic.
don't read at work. a lot of companies have big policies about not using "company resources for personal use". just a heads up. probably want to stay away from myspace too.
as far as reading at work goes thai... my boss and i were watching desperate housewives and 'mr and mrs smith' the other day. Personal resources are fine when there is downtime...
