Junior year of high school, I tripped during cross country finals. I cut up both of my knees and hurt my arm pretty badly. I stopped for a minute or so, but then told myself it could have been worse and kept on running. I find that once you have begun the process of sticking to your guns, while it can be terrifying, is is easier than giving up. I don't know why, but once you make that stand and say to yourself "I am better than this, I will not let this get the better of me" it's all down hill from there, although some hills are bumpier than others.
