Am I missing something?

Could someone please explain to me the definition of a "casual relationship"? It's been so long since I was in anything other than a serious relationship that I honestly don't understand what this means. This is breaking my head...

Casual Relationship:
Lasts as long as it happens to last, until one of the persons involved finds someone they want a more permanent relationship, or grows tired of the thing, or decides that, maybe, it's not doing them or you any good.
I think the 'Fuck Buddy' relationship comes in at the very bottom end of the Casual Relationship spectrum.

In terms of practicality, I think it works best when it is a relationship of convenience for all involved parties, backed by some level of actual interest in and friendship with said party, but that might just be me being an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

I think that the defining point between casual relationship an a serious one is that in a casual relationship there is no agreement that you will be together in the futuretimes. In fact there may be an agreement that you are not, and that making plans is uncool. But I haven't had many myself either, so yeah.

I like that definition. It seems to fit the facts quite nicely. The bit about "making plans is uncool" seems particularly fitting :-)
