That's not a friendship, that's TRUE LOVE. That's, like, PINING.

I love that he felt the need to say it three times when he was asking around for it in Bastogne. Like saying it three times was gonna make a pair magically appear or something.

"Gordon I need scissors. You got scissors? Sharp scissors"
"Penkala, scissors. I need scissors. You got scissors?"

1. Um...I didn't know that's what happened. Thanks for that. LOL.

2. I think they did it for artistic license or whatever. *shrug* Would've been nice to have a mention somewhere, though, that the real Blithe didn't die.

3. Winters/Nixon is so awesome that it doesn't need to participate in the Cage Match of Awesome. They're the awesome that the competitors try to reach. :P

1. Yep. It was supposed to be one ep of Carentan, and one of them back in England again. I'm pretty sure.

2. They did it because that's what they were originally told by the men, which makes sense. But after the airing, Blithe's family made it clear that it went differently--he survived, made Master Sergeant, and I think died in the 60s, still on active duty. I think what's potentially weird is that they didn't bother to change the tag. *shrugs*

3. Ah, but still. Where is your evidence of their friendship? I DEMAND PROOF. *g*

1.An England episode would have been great. Just showing the men relaxing and hanging out with each other in normal situations. Lovely.
2. You'd think they would still ask the family though.
Unless they somehow could not get a hold of them.

Still a good episode though. I just like to pretend that Blythe is actually the name of a fictional character because knowing Blythe's accomplishments makes this episode seem wrong somehow. I can't explain it.

1. I find it to be VERY distracting.

What I noticed in this episode was the SIZZUHS in Gene's pocket at the aid station! :D

3. Favorite friendship: SKIPENKEY.

I wonder when he lost them.

1. Ooh, I didn't know so I don't find that it affected me really

2. *Has no idea how to answer question 2 after numerous tries xD*

3. The characters have clearly already begun to form close friendships at this point. So it's time to defend your favorite friendship in a Cage Match of Awesome. Feel free to bring in evidence from other episodes!

WOO CAGE MATCH OF AWESOME!! I wants to say Hoob/Luz/Perco even though they are only together for like one scene xD But, they were my first fave threesome in BoB and the first I wrote terrible fic about! And I just love how they are walking in the field and they just mocking each other and it's happy and makes me smile :D

AND ALSO! In Bastogne when that tragic thing that happens to Hoob happens, Perco is there holding him and be sweet and stroking his cheek <3

1. I honestly didn't know that little tidbit. But for the most part I managed to follow the flow of it. Which part was supposed to be the second ep?

2. I didn't know this either. Blythe didn't die? OMG. I thought it was pretty crappy that the guy got over his fear only to get shot and die, so I'm so glad he didn't actually die. On the other hand, misinformation!

3. I think I like the Malarkey/..... well anyone really. I loved the scene he was in with Skip, Penkala, Babe and Julian in Bastogne. The joy-riding with Moore. The throwing stuff at each other with Skip in this eppie. He's just fun to watch.
