Oh Webster. Webster Webster Webster. All I've gotta say about this ep is that I HATE how Eion Bailey walks around with his mouth hanging open like he's a dead fish.

BUT I love the relationship that he and Liebgott have in this ep. Perfect chemistry.

That's the what I hate about this episode too. The thing I love is the epic level of bitching and dirty looks. I'm talking about you Leibgott and Martin. And Grant, don't think I didn't notice you encouraging Leibgott.

I'd really like to know where this "open mouth" thing comes from. Maybe Webster was really like that? Because Eion doesn't do it in any other roles he's done (none that I've seen, at least) so it's probably a (bad) habit Webster really had.
Tab's habit of touching his lip was real, Skip's rosary was real, Guarnere, Winters, they're all accurate (let's forget about Blithe, ok?), so it would make sense, Y/Y?

Am I right in remembering that in the book, Leibgott and Webster are in the same hospital after getting wounded in Holland and that Leibgott goes awol and Webster doesn't? It would explain Leibgott's animosity to Webster (although it is not as much fun as the, erm, alternative theory.)

Also I'm sure that in the book Nixon is the one who orders the first patrol, not sure why this is changed for the series.

Oh, Webster. You're such a ponce in this episode, but it kind of breaks my heart on your behalf. I mean, I know you're suffering from chronic footinmouthitis, but good lord - your attempts at reconnecting with your old buddies and meeting with such humiliating failure makes it seem like you're the skinny kid with glasses and a lisp at the popular kid's birthday party that no one wants to talk to but only got invited because the birthday boy's mom made him ( ... )

This really is the Episode of Meaningful Looks (and winks, glares and eyebrows).

And I didn't even mention the Meaningful Look between a certain medic and a certain infant-named private that I read into way too much. <3

The Meaningful Look was an allusion that made me squee a lot. :D

Before I make any useful comments, I would just like to once again note how much I love Spike Thompson Johnny Martin. I will add more useful comments later.
