has it ever occurred to any of you that you are all tools in a massive organization for the desensitization, innocence stealing, multinational, power hungry greed machine? well you are and there is most likely nothing you can do about it. the media and its affiliates, the "in" crowd, seem to enjoy making loads of money off the insecurities of the ( Read more... )

way to kill the economy Bob... jk but in response to that perhaps it's becasue of this drive to be accepted and cool that makes the USA so much better than other countries in the world and such a powerhouse. If we were to abandon those basic principles of life there would be a total lack of motivation in general and our country would fall to ruin. well thats just my take on it so take or leave it w/e

excellent point! however, if the country were more focused on intellect instead of appearance then we would be about 10 times more powerful etc.

but if we focused on intellect then it would be an inner battle of who's more intelligent than the other which would result in trying to take eachother out w/ our knowledge, as opposed to fashion where it's just we see who can look better than the other person

well just on matching, let me tell you there are some fundamental rules on what colors match, now...generally pants match all shirts, but like today i'm not matching but i know it, i'm wearing two shades of brown, which just looks tacky. and yes fat bald guys run our country, but at least they give us what we think we want, since they decide what we want, seriously fashion shows are crazy, t-shirt jeans, don't wear pink pants and like a red shirt, see two similar shades is bad, but that's as much as i know....i'm still figurin' the rest out...

Well duh, of course we're being tricked, you just gotta go with the flow and dodge the sharp rocks and you'll do ooook. Go against the flow if you so wish, but whether you like it or not, it's better for you in every aspect if you stay with any flow, all you get from going as far against the flow as you can is a sense of elitism for not being tricked...while everyone around you is laughing because they are having the time of their life with their genre of living.

Thanks for the link to the conversation. I entirely agree with you. But, if you must know, the scenario by which we (or is it only you and I?) are troubled is in its essence quite simplistic to explain: you, see, people, at least from a majority standpoint, are inherently stupid. There, I said it. (Most) people just don't have the brains or use of them to engage in any such battle or competition of wits, as you alluded to. Thus, a life shaped around the perceived betterment of social "style" and "hipness" (is that a word?) seems much much more plausible. It's absolutely pathetic and I admire your libertarian inclinations to strive for the other side of the spectrum, but, alas, I am afraid that we will never suffice as a nation in achieving a country based upon principles of intellect unless we begin at the problem's root and...whatever that means ( ... )
