I gave up on LJ when jwz finally left the building. It's really sad, but it seems to be dying of neglect. I set up an account at Blogger (being the Google fanboy that I am) but I haven't used it yet. I thought about hosting my own via Wordpress, but from eveything I've read and tried, that's a festering pile of crap (despite how popular it is.) It's god-awful slow with NO load - you have to enable caching to make it even reasonably usable. Someday I might get around to putting together some kind of custom CMS, but I'm lazy. :-)
