On my way back to Incheon, I bought some Korean taffy for 2 bucks.
It was not so much sweet as I recall, but for memory's sake I munched on.
I wonder how they make it sweet without using white sugar.
Oh, on the note of food, here's my grandma's special doughnut.
It's a little like Chinese doughnet, nice and greasy, but textured like carboard. Only sweet as rice, I disliked it fair bit when I was a kid, but it was addicting like most good(?) things.
We arrived at Incheon, after stopping by at southern area of city of Seoul, to meet up with our second aunt. (My mom is the first daughter of her five siblings.) My mom came straight to Seoul in hopes to spend the day with her, but her day was already occupied with charting, and graphing for company work.
She was looking good, didn't change much since her 20s. The only traces of age I found,(and found gorgeous) were her wrinkles at side of her eyes when she smiled. She bought us lunch, and took us to her work, to show us a clip of her sons at sea. Her eldest son tripped trying to avoid wave, and other two lanky kiddos were laughing their little stomachs off.<3 It was very cute.
(My second aunt and her family. Look at wee twins.<3 They're adorable.)
Her husband quickly drove to greet us, and the "adults" talked about child education. It seems aunt and her husband had a little of conflicting views, and they were openly showing their discontent at each other it was quite uncomfortable for me to stay. As I remember, my second aunt was a lot like my mom, stubborn and driven, and her husband was really educated.
None-the-less, they're good folk.
We got on the bus again,(I'm so sick of bus at this point.) and travelled to Incheon, then we got on the car again, with my youngest aunt, uncle, and their children to go meet my second grandma.
(My second grandma's the biggest one in pictured with lots of make-up.)
I said hi to my second granma and her second daughter who had just given birth 20 days ago. All the little kiddos and adults wanted to see baby, but sister Mina took him away, so the baby can sleep.
My mother asked aunt Mina if I could get a job in her company,
so I had a condensed briefing of what she does.
She is a website designer it seems, and we concluded at that our areas of interest differ fair bit.
(My uncle's first son.)
(and second.)
Little kids just LOVE me.<3 (and I love them to bits)
and here's the picture of Andrew. ^^
This camper was very excited to see me, and was teaching me Chinese while I taught him English every corner we drove by, but he got a little upset and chilled at the corner, brooding when sister Mina didn't let him touch her expensive Camera.
He was still sulking when I was about to leave with my second aunt's husband, who volunteered to be our driver for the day, but little packet of "From Canada-gun"(Excel, Ice mint brand.XD) and my letting him take a shot of above picture of youngest one, cured his mood.
...I hope.
We visited two more reletive's house afterwards,
and I passed out when we finally got to our second aunt's house at 1am.
I am scheduled to visit an uncle's company today to see if his publishing job has any position open for me to fill, and then we're going to head to Yumchang-dong, where I lived before I left for Canada.
Ah, the twins and second aunt's young one got along with me just fine too,
but they were mostly busy bickering with each other.<3
Much loves, I'll post again soon.
