ok, what happens is, you play on grass, you have a tiny brown ball called the bacci ball (slightly smaller than a pool ball), someone throws that wherever they want to, and then you mark the place you threw from. then you have the other balls: 4 red and 4 green balls which are rather large and weighty [a little bigger than a grapefruit] you have a red team and green team, and one team throws their ball as close to the bacci ball as possible, the other team has to keep trying until they get closer to the bacci ball than the other team (and you can knock theirs away too)...after both teams have thrown all four of their balls, which ever team is closest gets a point [also, if you have three green balls that are all closer than the nearest red ball, you get three points...does that make sense?] ok...and then you go to the bacci ball and throw it somewhere else fro m that place...and you keep going until one team gets 15 points.

i really hope that makes some degree of sense
