having gone on a southeast asia trip myself, hanoi (the whole northern area of vietnam) is the only place that gets cool/cold in southeast asia, from november thru january. I would go during then, lol. however as in a lot of countries the southerners are a lot more friendly and the food is sooo much better in saigon. wow random stranger just commenting :)
