Sounds like a lot of fun. Have you thought about curriculum? We are homeschooling Jade for K this year, and using the K-12 online Academy. They have a meeting at the Middletown Library Jan 14 and it starts at 5pm. If you want to look into that.
that is mainly what we ahve been discussing is the different types of curriculum you have access to as a homeschooler and the various online schools. Which school are you going through? I think when T is K age I may start out with an online school so I can get the hang of it. Jenni has done Ohio virtual academy but actually just took her daughter out because it wasn't working for her daughter's particular needs but I have heard good things about it. Are you going to the meeting? What is the meeting focused on? Might go just so I can see Lali ;o)
I am not sure that you would like the K 12 or any of the online public school materials. They are certainly not Montessori based. They are public-school-at-home. In my opinion there are too many hoops to jump through; you have to follow their lead, their general time table, their curriculum. You are required to have regular in person and online meetings with the teacher in charge of your child's schooling. In my opinion it is just too structured. I like the freedom to teach whatever and whenever and not feel like anyone is "watching" us for benchmarks and achievements.
