Stunned silent. Staring at the meal, blinking when he realizes this was all for him. It was... thick steaks and backed potatoes and steamed veggies and... Nothing fancy, James didn't go in for fancy, but it was his favorites.

Bobby kisses back happily- eagerly- arms winding around James' waist and then finally, when air's come up for, mutters "heard it on the radio and it made me think of you... and made me think 'gee, do I really do anything to show him how much he matters? Then I oughtta, huh'..." A warm smile. "Love you, James Hurley."

"Love you too, Bobby Briggs.' Kissing him again. "But you do show me. In your patience with me at work, in how you treat me. In everything you've given me. You show me more than you know."

"Eeehn, that's just day-to-day stuff. Nothing like big stuff, yanno? Not like a steak dinner with all the trimmings and a cherry pie from the double-R waiting for dessert, and a sappy song that makes me pissed off I can't sing 'cause I would love to sing it to you in my own voice." He nuzzles with his nose at James' nose, and squeezes his ass. "But I'll make do with what I can do."
