Proof I Exsist

Why is it whenever I pick up a random zine it has the same themes of growing beyong punk rock, influence of eastern religion/culture, apathy in current family situation? Proof I Exsist is an excellent zine I picked up at the Baltimore Book fair even thought it falls into some cliches the author manages to be a rather good writer most of the time
