The end of febuary seems to bring some sort of archaic unsettling motion. With changing tempatures there is a sort of manic feel to the weather. Snow than heat ice than fire. A couple days ago I watched the Joe Strummer and the Mescalaros documentary "Lets Rock Again" a wonderful document on the bands second tour which features performances from Tokyo to the East / West Coast of the US. The fact of the matter is I've never needed other people's acceptance. Probably one of the reasons I got into punk rock when I did was the way (it was thought) people were more open minded. I went to see H.R. (former singer of legendary DC hardcore outfit Bad Brains) and I wasn't quite stimulated in a positive way. Most of his post-bad brains material bordered on ranting funky weird experimental reggae pop. Opening up with a repeating the words "I love you."
