Tension and Release crucifix1825 August 24 2005, 08:02:14 UTC
There is no one or right way to feel. In this case, there are many emotions swirling inside of you, most likely because there are many things at stake. It's okay to feel conflicted, as this affects you, your mother, your sister, your brother, and a man you hold much spite towards. You'd like to see Frank get what he undoubtedly deserves, yet you understand that it causes your family pain. You hold spite for Frank, yet have sympathy towards your family's attachment to him. Feelings in and of themselves are never wrong (at least I think...), it's how you act on them that counts. My advice is that you center your thoughts around being supportive of your family, while maintaining honesty to your own feelings. Take comfort in the fact that this affair is ultimately not to be decided by you and that the pressure to sort this out does not fall upon your head. Just be the good strong man you've turned out to be and be there to pick up the pieces, wherever they do fall.
