Honey you are not stupid! We all forget things. In fact that's part of how we learn. We forget things repeatedly, but everytime we learn it, we forget less and less, so eventually we remember it all. Forgetting is part of learning. And you may not be "book smart" in the stereotypical sense, but I know you're very intelligent in other ways. You are able to observe things about people that a LOT of people can't. Trust me honey, that is a valuable comodity in this world.

On a separate note, what are you doing Friday night? Want to go see a movie? I'm trying to get a group together. I haven't been to a movie theater since December, and I'm going through withdrawl. That and I want to celebrate getting into grad school. Let me know.

You are not unintelligent...you're observant of people, which is quite useful. Regardless, have you considered a kinaesthetic approach to learning? That is, learning by doing? I can't learn information until I have manipulated it with my brain, at the very least, and better if I can play with it in realtime. To learn physical laws, I need to observe them and play with them. To learn abstract concepts, I have to use them, think through them. Utilize them. Other things? Harder to learn. Anyways, consider it.

As for the praise - thanks. I don't consider myself to terribly knowledgable, but I'm working on it. Ah, well. Best of luck. You know you can always talk to me if you need something.
