Climbing (Falling)

A beautiful deep blue sky framed the obelisk of white limestone as I made the momentous decision to take my thermal top off and climb in my t-shirt - in JANUARY!  Sometimes you do get the right day for a climbing pass and today was the day and with a bit of local knowledge we'd found warm sun kissed rock and conditions more akin to a summer evening

Oh my word! Glad that all turned out well. Points 1 - 3 in your list of 'lessons learned' I think are good ones to apply to normal life too - don't assume something will be easy simply because it was the first time; doing things properly is always a good idea: and if something 'feels wrong' it may well be wrong - don't make rushed reactive decisions, take some time out. Can't think how I would use point 4 in everyday life though!
