I not sleepy!

H is currently weening himself off of afternoon sleeps. This afternoon despite insisting he was not tired and did not need a sleep we found him like this after telling him to play quietly in his room for a few minutes.

love it!!! what a gorgeous boy! I dread weaning from naps!!! Dot is still ahving two naps a day whilst lots of kids have one I see no need to persuade her to do just one (even if it were a little longer). LET ALONE IF SHE REFUSED TO SLEEP AT ALL!!! GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!! what will I do?!! she needs to wean off naps the day she starts school!! xxxxxxxxxxxx

Aw, very cute! Looks to me like a case of:

"I'm not tired! I'm gonna play trains!"

"Mind you, might as well be comfortable and snuggly while I play"

I have a photo of Rachel, at a similar age, asleep on the hallway floor. She had thrown a tantrum at my ridiculous suggestion that she might like to take her coat off now that she was inside. I let her get on with her tantrum and carried on making lunch. When all went quiet I noticed that she had gone to sleep. Hooray - she was just tired and not a complete grump, I thought. Wrong - she slept for about 30 minutes, woke up and carried on where she had left off, but with renewed energy. The coat stayed on!! Jo xxxx
