A kid after my own heart

Oct 26, 2006 13:51

My youngest nephew is 10 or 11, and is a great kid. He sent me his Christmas list earlier this week, and it made me laugh a lot. There was only one thing on it.

My nephew wants a sword.

HA! I guess he's been playing a Disney video game, and they make steel replicas of some of the swords used in the game, and he wants one. That's my boy!

It will be a GOOD tired though.
I don't feel as though I've done my weekend justice if I don't fall dead asleep on Sundat evening.

Here's my breakdown:
Fridat nigit - nothing; preparing for sabbath school and cuddling with the Tater.
Saturdat - sabbath school, lunch/laundry, long explore, bonfire, haunted outing, drop dead asleep.
Sundat - HIKING!!! Afternoon being free to do misc.

OH - gB wants to see a movie in the afternoon. I don't know if I'm hip to that groove, but he would probably enjoy hooking up with you to see The Prestige (ifn you haven't already seen it).

I know exactly what you mean! I love completely running myself ragged and absolutely COLLAPSING into bed at the end of a long weekend!

Oh! I'd love to see Grahm. I haven't talked to him in months! Unfortunately, though, I'm going to need to get back on the road by 4:00 or so, so I doubt we could squeeze in a movie before then. I'll try to give him a call, though. It's been far too long!

Ooo, if you have time and remember and it's not a hassle, is there any chance you could grab a hold of Photoshop for me hon??! Also, I may have to put off CD burns until my stuff gets here (in a few more weeks).

Looking forward to the weekend, Sir. Bob.

Yup, I'm all on top of your Photoshop needs. I'm also prepping my own special blend of mix CD music for you, and should have that ready for you this weekend, as well.

At your service, m'lady! See you this weekend!

Oh, I'm a definite for the bonfire and haunted hooey for sure! Lookin' forward to finally meeting you, Mr. Manasco. :)

By the way, if you don't get a chance to see The Prestige with Ness, try to make a point to see it at some point. It's really clever.

Hey, how are you feeling about hiking?
We leave really bloody early but get back usually around noon-ish or 1.

It's Maquoketa, a thing of utter beauty (I say in an egging on tone of typing!).

Honestly, I LOVE to hike and have been wanting to see this place ever since Wade posted pictures, but getting up at 7am on a Saturday morning after arriving late at night and then drinking does not computer. Would love to do it the next time I come into town, though. I plan on visiting Cattlet lots. :D

(Thanks for the invite!!)

We'll salute the caves in your honor then.
I completely understand too, it's hard to find the folk to get up early even without a valid excuse.

We'll see you Saturdat evening.

Saw the 3D nightmare last weekend (the chicagoland location was our local theater even!), and it looked fantastic! You will enjoy.

Awesome! I can't wait!

I really need to make me a Nightmare Before Christmas icon. Maybe Jack in the arms of the angel statue in the graveyard after being blasted out of his sleigh by missiles. Yeah, that'd be great.

You will have to tell me all about this.
I am MOST envious.

I wonder if we might get it at the Imax.

Exploring this notion, now.

You know, Ness, if you by 6:00, you and Tate could easily be in Peoria at the Rave with me and fat_overactor in time for the 7:40 showing!

LOL! I know, I know...I'm evil...
