Declaring this weekend PWNT!
It's Sunday at 5:00, and my weekend isn't done yet. This rocks, but it also means I've been very busy.
Friday night, an on-line friend ("Twitter") was hosting her very last karaoke night at a bar & grill over in Creve Couer, so I "popped by" to make an appearance, and ended up staying and singing until 4:00. Fun, but very draining on the voice, and very tiring.
Saturday, I slept in a little, then we had our first round of auditions for Pippin at Peoria Players. Lots of good people showed up. Yay! We're hoping to post the cast list later tonight, after the second round.
I then drove up to my mom & dad's to see them, as they had just returned from an extended jaunt to Florida. It was nice catching up with them.
Today, I woke up at the crack of dawn and went hiking in Maquoketa with mumchancegaloot, pumilio2, and her son, Tate. It was another fun day walking around the caves, if somewhat less strenuous because we didn't really do any spelunking, we just hiked. Stupid hunters were out and we could hear shots being fired, though, so we cut our hike a little short, to avoid being shot and stuff. We then got some very tasty Thai food, dropped mumchancegaloot back off at his house and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with the Tater.
And now, here I am, back in Peoria, ready for those second auditions. Whew! I *SO* don't want to go back to work tomorrow, but I revel in the fact that I indeed sucked the marrow from this weekend's bones.
