Think about the sun
I haven't typed in a while, so maybe I should catch up on stuff.
1) Pippin is going really well. Tonight we made a really really really cool, allbeit minor alteration to the closing music: the boy (Theo) is left alone on stage at the end of the show. He sings a snippet of "Corner of the Sky", which catches the attention of the troupe, who slowly creep back onstage and target him as their "next Pippin." If we transpose that snippet slightly, his final note is the same as the starting note of the organ in "Magic to Do", which the orchestra then breaks into right before lights out. I know it's hard to describe on a blog, and it is a really minor thing, but it makes me incredibly happy that it works out. Otherwise, the show is going really well, too. Tomorrow we are cleaning up music with dance, and Friday is a rough runthrough of the whole show. W00t!
2) Work is work, but I'm much busier than I was last year, and this is a really good thing. I'm managing some projects that are all being developed offshore in India, which makes for some interesting managerial challenges.
3) In my spare time, I've been playing a lot of World of Warcraft. A major expansion came out on Tuesday, so there's all new stuff to explore and do, when my computer is behaving and when the servers stay up. Also, I've recently got some real-life Peoria friends into my guild, which makes things even more fun.
Other than that, um... it's cold? Yeah, I think that's it.
