LiveLinkedFaceSpace?

The number of emails I've been getting inviting me to join all the various social networking sites has been increasing geometrically, like spam. Are any of these of any value? I'm tempted by LinkedIn just on the off chance a better job will fall in my lap. Is there any value to any of the others?

LinkedIn is periodically useful to find people for specific contacts, or job stuff.

Facebook is just fun *g*

LinkedIn is used not only by geeks like us, but by a large number of business people who might find your talents useful.

Linked is defintely good for business contacts like if you need a CPA or a lawyer.
MySpace is great for keeping up with Indie Bands.
I have yet to see a use for Face.
And I live on Live.

I haven't bothered with any but linkedin, and the only reason I touch linkedin at all is to respond to the incoming invitations. The only thing that makes me feel even remotely okay about that particular service is the fact that people I know solely in a professional capacity show up therein at an alarming rate. Potentially useful.
