I have a Wilkinson razor with a battery in the handle. Not sure what it's called but the vibrating blades do seem to work. It's a 4 blade head though

I am not male and can't therefore really comment, but my dad swears by electric razors. He has a Philips. Not sure what model though.

I tried the Azor, and it takes a little getting used to. The main difference is the handle is slightly flexible, which allows you to apply more pressure and get a closer shave. It does take some getting used to, particularly if you're trying to be precise.

Tried the M3 turbo, the vibration is pleasant but doesn't seem very effective. I just go back to the sensor excel like you.

It's worth noting the gillette blades (and most of the others) are mostly interchangeable so you can use most blades with most handles.

I must concur with the Mach 3. Lyle recommended it to me a decade back & I tried it despite my animus towards Gillette & its cruelty policies. One thing, I dislike their lube strip which just makes my face gooey & sticky, so I just remove it prior to using the new blade. A good brush shaving cream, I find, is better than gooey lube. Plus, the brush helps prime the stubble for the shave.

I will also concur that a good barber shave is quite a treat. I've been to a couple who did a bad job, but most give great close shaves with god facial treatment afterward.
