So this happened

For about a month now I've been troubled by my back. It started as annoying back pain and has turned into full on can't-walk leg pain. For about 3 weeks each day was worse than the day before, but it seems to have levelled off now

I'm sure you've already researched the bejeesus out of this, but have you tried acupuncture? I've found it suprisingly helpful with pain management (not a miracle cure, just dials things down a little). I was off pain meds so quickly after surgery than both surgeons were shocked at how few pill refills were requested.
