Last night: A Play About an Island. Which definitely met and exceeded my expectations, especially in terms of the acting. The script did have awkward and slightly self-indulgent moments, but I thought it was also an original twist on the Tempest, and had some really perfect lines to make up for the duds. The way I saw it, the whole second half is a metaphor for going away to college--something I'm dealing with now. Props to Mia!
