Last night, the author Kurt Vonnegut Jr. succumbed to brain injuries sustained in a fall several weeks ago. This affected me profoundly as would the passing of any of my heros, literary or otherwise. Vonnegut spoke to me in a way very few writers could. His humor and half bent philosophies very much helped shaped who I've become as a person. He
