i would recommend against depaul's counseling services. they have like 2 appointments a week and never get back to you, anyway. you're way better off finding your own therapist, as long as you have insurance and they'll cover it. psychology today has a search engine on their website that's good for doing so.
i would have to second that. they suck. illinois masonic as well as northwestern are much better and they have a sliding scale payment option. so, you can pay like five dollars a session. and you aren't limited to a number of sessions like at depaul.
I'm sorry to hear you're where I was. I can say I understand how you feel. I would say try some counseling before you go looking into other things. It might also be the winter that has you down. More people than you'd think are effected by the lack of sunlight.
I'll be there for you just like you're here for me. It's what friends do. I hope you're able to work through what you're feeling. Emotions might be chemical... and you know more about that than I do. At the same time chemicals stop being just that when emotions become real.
