Bye-bye, JMU. :(

In recent news, I got in to Penn State today--and even better, it's University Park. AKA the main campus of 27 different branch campuses. I'm super excited, and I randomly spazzed for a period of about 3 hours after seeing & opening the package.

So yeah, I just wanted to share.

That's so great! So when are you leaving? This is for fall? Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!

Yeah, it's for freshman admission in the fall. I'm assuming all of my credits will transfer so I should be just a semester behind. Penn State freshmen arrive on campus 5 days before classes started, so I'll be there the last week of August. Ohh! And I'm trying to get some sort of position with the Free Lance Star--any tips or suggestions?

Woo-hoo!

Do you already have a contact? Are you talking an internship? In what department - marketing?

This coming fall I'll be attending for communications (advertising major).. hopefully I can also manage a second major in business (marketing). I am soooo excited. I would randomly shriek and jump around in intervals yesterday when I found out. :p
The only thing that brings me down though is paying for it all!

It's a great school, don't get me wrong, but I have always just liked Penn State (both my parents went to main campus as well--that's where they met; both sides of my family are from Pennsylvania; soo many of my relatives have graduated from different PSU branches..) but when it came time to apply I psyched myself out that I wouldn't get in, or that it was too large, or too expensive. JMU was really the only school in Virginia I really liked, so I was glad to go there, but after visiting a friend at University Park I realized I still really wanted to go there. And seeing as I could only do my course of study at PSU starting as a freshman, I knew I'd regret not applying if I didn't actually try. I'm glad I did, too!
