Can we have a debate where none of the candidates distorts the other's record? Seriously, honesty is the best policy? Everyone wants to believe something and take information, and distort it to prove what they believe. Both parties do this, but the McCain Campaign seems to do it more. That might be because I am an Obama Fan, or more specifically ( Read more... )

McCain did it more, but Obama did it too, and both of them sort of made me want to punch babies in the face. Reagan is not your hero, McCain. You are an old man, not a 10 year old boy. No heroes for you. And Obama needs to learn how to stick to time limits. I thought the way they both went over was rude to the commentator, honestly.

Both Obama and McCain needed to stick to the time limits, especially cause the commentator kept bringing it up! I would have yelled at them more :-P

I said both, didn't I? Okay, yes, I did. But Obama seemed worse about it. Especially arguing for rebuttal time. :\

I think McCain was worse about it, and if neither of them skewed the facts then there would be no need for rebuttal time. That's basically what it comes down to. The answer to the question is to say that the other candidate doesn't have the answer and quote wrong facts, and then the rubuttal is to protest those facts and accusations.

did you hear about the high school teacher who told his class that obama's "C.H.A.N.G.E." is an acronym for "come help a nigger get elected" ?
he was suspended for 1 days, but school officials dont feel that warrants firing.

when i read that i almost puked.

I would have suspended him for a lot longer than that. What an asshole!

My favorite part was when McCain called Obama "that one." Legit, last night I wasn't really feeling either of them, which is weird because usually I really like Obama, and honestly I'm not exactly against McCain, either. Really, though, last night I wished BOTH of them would just stop bringing up past records. It was obnoxious.

I definitely thought Obama did better, and he actually delved into certain things that I was waiting for anyone to tackle..like the fact that we only have 3% of the world's oil supply, and we use 25% of it, so it doesn't matter if we drill here more....But he did say some things that rubbed me the wrong way. McCain just seemed like a weasel when he said "that one." It was like he was 6 years old on the playground! WTF!?
