Check out the top rated ones for those. One of them made me feel really sad (perhaps because I had The Velvet Teen on... but.) The third one is hilarious, even if it does make you feel terrible for laughing.
Does anyone find it strange that my romantic vision right now is someone who would drive with me across the border into Canada, the whole way playing some really good, hilariously comedic, subtly sophisticated, yet childish book on tape?
Some Harry Potter, or Terry Prachett, or Lemony Snicket? We could sit there in this old dusty car, wearing scarves because it's cold, the upholstered seats a bit ripped; we would stop by Little Tokyo and go see an art show there, Perhaps this one.
What am I saying, this doesn't at all involve romance. The adjective 'Romantic' can still be applied to it, yeah, but I don't need that, I just need a buddy who I know would do that. I can imagine a few people, but the thing is, you never know how close someone comes to what you imagine until you try doing friend things with them.
So yeah, scratch the whole romance thing, that'd just make people uncomfortable. And nah, I don't really expect people to be anything like the imaginary people and relationships in my head. That owuld just be scary.
So, to summarize:
Anyone want to go see Ecstacy: In and About Altered States with me? It closes Feb. 20th, and it's in a contemporary museum in Little Tokyo.
