O Day Retrospective

Feb 25, 2006 12:16

O-Day was pretty cool, despite having to stay at the UDS stall all day and set it up/pack it back up again.  I pretty much spent 6 hours doing heavy lifting, standing behind a desk, being polite, telling people what we had on offer, getting details from said people and taking money, all while wearing a silly suit ( Read more... )

those are the people you NEVER CALL BACK unless they call you, coz then they are really enthusiastic or really up themselves or are actually really good at acting and will persevere. the rest, who the fuck cares, you have their money! (stupid actors)

of course, you already knew all that, ir takes about 6 months at uds to figure that out (longer for actors).

oh yeah. If it weren't for people with delusions of grandeur and no acting experience, however would we subsidise our events?

we'd end up willingly drinking 3 year old VB found under a pile of costumes from a forgotten production. it happened once.

we've got some one-year-old midstrength in the clubroom! maybe we will drink that when times get extra-lean.

You didn't tick Theatre Sports?

but yeah, fair call. Still, there's so much more to drama than just acting, and the kind of people who are best for the club are those that realise that and are willing to help with a wide range of things. the ones who just go for the acting are, more often than not, just people clamouring for attention.

Shit! I honestly didn't see Theatre Sports! I would usually make a comment about how I probably need to get my eyes checked but the fact is, I had then checked only an hour before I saw you guys. I'll blame it on the fact that my right eye is a little worse. Feel free to tick it for me! Plus Theatre Sports is acting I guess.
