Yeah, it's gorgeous. September/October is the time to go if you are up for, say, The Oktoberfest, but it's ridiculously overcrowded then. Good rite of passage, though.

Hi Tim (& also Hi Huw too)
Good to see that you haven't lost your sense of direction.
Give my regards to Mozart. It should be good to see Salzburg without tons of ice & snow.
Have one of those Sacher (?spelling) Tortas for me.
Cheers
Ken (ie your father)

Hey Dad! Got heaps of clear photos of Salzburg. They'll be up sometime soon, sadly we passed through without getting any Sachertorte, but did get some Mozartskugeln!

Somehow I don't think Huw's going to change his name for the sake of an anonymous Livejournal comment. It sounds like "Hugh", except that's the shonky English knock-off of the original Welsh name.

Could you refer to him by some other name? Like 'Reed Forbes' perhaps?

How about "Lead-Admiral Trilby"? Or "Lord Elsington Nibblick Worthingtonsquire"? I think I will leave his name alone, it will be far too much work to type Worthingtonsquire every time I want to refer to Huw.
