I shall be flying all flags under my control at half mast in recognition of this great sorrow.

I am sorry for your loss. Perhaps, and I give this advice carefully, consolation might be found in beer?

Actually, as it turns out it may just be the power supply that's burnt out. It smells rather eerily of burnt plastic, but it's about a hundred euros for a replacement that may not even work. Still, better than having it bricked.

A hundred Euros? Last time I checked, a hundred euros was equivalent to a hundred BEERS on the european drunkenness futures market.

This is our conundrum. Fortunately I've pretty much solved it, in a predictable fashion.

I won't be using my laptop until we get back to Perth, it seems.

I seem to have made an enemy on Tim's livejournal. Why do they hate me? Only time, or excrutiating torture, will tell.

P.S Sucks to you! I didn't break my laptop, Tim's laptop died. Clearly you do not read... or understand. Mr. Intelligence McQuestiony, whose intelligence I am now beginning to question! Ha-ha!
