I am sitting in the parking lot of a restaurant waititng for the wife and kid. We made last minute plans to meet up for lunch, about 45 minutes before we said we'd meet. I figured that posting in my LJ would be a good idea, since it has made it into everyone else's. Zachary Alexander Geisner was born this morning at 10:47 CST. Mom was in labor for about 4 hours. Heading into the city to visit with friends.

I just had to update a contingency plan for a site that I work on in El Salvador to lay out a plan of action for what happens if I catch swine flu. And, yes, they were serious.

Yesterday was a good day. Work went alright, the meeting with the city actually went better than expected (the PM ditched the meeting because she didn't think anything would come of it), but we found a resolution (which was almost immediately invalidated by the work the PM did while I was on site, bur the point is that I got something accomlished ( Read more... )

Home from work.

I remember when I used to know how to surf the internet. Now, I just come home and check 3 sites, and that is it.

When I feel the need to write, sometimes I don't have inspiration. In these instances, I find it helpful to create a framework for writing...like, giving the words a backbone so they can stand. So, the Road Toad (aka the Skittle and my previous car) has been officially signed over as the down payment on our new car. We got a 2008 Subaru Impreza. Silver, with black cloth.
