The word of the day is sullen

There is so much literature out there, so much music, so many movies. How can I ever sample it all?
I can't.
So what, in your opinion, is "essential"?

...i didn't say it was too much. I said I would never be able to sample it all.
Which i suppose kind of implies it.

Check out The Pixies, Nine Inch Nails, Flogging Molly, Blood Brothers, Ludwig van, Modest Mouse, R.E.M. and Nada Surf. I think Nada Surf has captured years 14-19 better than any music ever has.

Read Dune, and if you like it, there are five sequels.
Read The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath, The Rats in the Walls, and the Call of Cthulhu bu H. P. Lovecraft, If you like one, you'll want to read them all. If you don't like them, I'll think you a mongoloid or cretin.

Read A Clockwork Orange.
Watch A Clockwork Orange.

Watch Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.
Watch Trainspotting.

Read The Stranger.
Read The Once and Future King (it's mildly ok, but puts the Arthuric legend and grail quest into a nice, digestable bit with plenty of understandable funny to boot).

Stay away from Kant (Can't, or as I prefer, Cunt).

Immanuel Kant? too late. Self-reliance...such senseless drivel. It did teach me a lot about clutter, tho.
