No, that's unfair. I pretty much hate everything.

But that's stupid. Guess I'll just claim to know nothing and ultimately be ambivalent (but not apathetic). Misguided but enthusiastic?

I'm romantic for all the wrong reasons. I'm not sure I care who the girl is, as long as she smells nice and fits whatever archetype I need for the mood. Different kinds of girls for different sorts of romance.

I do romance for the stories. The people don't matter, it just has to happen. Then I can dwell in the nostalgia between my sporadic mistakes and misguided, frustrated emotions. Collecting experiences feels sorta like collecting stuff. Collecting stuff isn't cool, as stuff hasn't anything aesthetic about it.

Anyway. Elliot Smith. Incredible music. Very, very depressing and melancholy and all that. An incredible guitar player as well. I recommend the Either/Or album, as it is by far his best. Every song on it is a masterpiece.
