When I started Japanese lessons two years ago (and had for one year, then weren't able to find the time anyone: which means, that I'm still crap at it

Well, you have to keep in mind that this is a small community-college where I'm following those lessons, so I hadn't really expected there to be much more people. Let's just hope none of them drop out! XD;

Inception was an awesome movie! I'm even tempted to go again later this week, because apparently the movie is still running in the closest cinema. Just a shame that it runs after nine, which means I won't be home before midnight then. And since I have to be at work at 7:30... :(

Yes, let's hope that! XD I don't know about the teenagers, but the rest of them doesn't sound like people that would be there without really wanting to learn something! ^-^

Agreed! If Inception still went near me, I would definitely watch it again! I think it's even better the second time, when you get what they're doing, so I can't wait for it to come on dvd! x3
I too, have to work at 8:00 x_x but only for this week of school vacation, then I have to go back to school. But at least I will be home a lot earlier than midnight! Poor you D:

Well, from the teens (by which I mean I think they are all late teens, but I am terrible in guesstimaging people's age) there were two that are going on a student exchange/internship in Japan, so they will be quite motivated. The other two are anime/manga fans, so I don't think they'll be giving up that easily either.

I think I might be going this weekend, if it still runs then. I have the Friday off, so. Um, no. I can't go Thursday night: that's when I have Japanese class. XD;
It's a choice to start work that early - my direct colleague starts over an hour later than me... but that means I get to go home around 4:15, and he has to stay until 5:30. I know which one I prefer! ;)

I only saw Inception recently and I loved it, but I'm kinda baffled at the level of fangirl interest in it! XD I can't believe there's such a big fandom! I wish I felt more fannish about it, because I bet it's the sort of fandom that gets loads of good fics. :|

Good luck with your Japanese! I admit that when I'm not feeling as enthusiastic about Johnnys my enthusiasm for learning Japanese plummets, haha, so good for you for going for it anyway! More dedicated and less shallow than me, lol.

You're not the only one! I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed by the massive size of the fandom, and that's only from looking around for a little while - I'm sure there's a lot of it I haven't even found yet. :O

Haha, thanks! I must admit that I haven't done much with anything Japanese-related in the last year or so, but this course is something I've been wanting to do for a while now, so I decided to just go ahead and do it. Let's just hope that the actual lessons will make sure I keep on working on it, instead of starting enthusiastically and then slowly but surely putting it off and quitting. 'Cause that's what happened when I tried to teach myself. *laughs*

It seems like everyone in the world is into Inception lately, and I haven't even seen it yet. I guess I should remedy that so I can understand what all the fuss is about.

Good luck with Japanese! It can be a frustrating language (especially learning to read), but I really like it, even aside from my interest in JE.

I can honestly say it's one of the best movies I've seen in a while, and one that kept me thinking about it afterwards.
It's an action movie, so yes: there are guns and explosions (no American action movie seems to think it's complete without them), but it's a lot more than that. The entire idea behind the movie is so fascinating to me. The visuals don't hurt either, of course. Sharp-dressed men -and women- and Escher-esque architecture are always a plus in my book.
So, uh, this is a longwinded way of saying "it's a good movie, and you might enjoy seeing it!"

Thank you! We're starting off with romaji so that we're getting a feel for the spoken language, and the hiragana/katakana/kanji will only come into play later on. But I think it might be difficult enough just like this! :)

Inception was an awesome movie, and I'm glad I took the time to go see it. ^^
Arthur was so... competent, and well-dressed. And awesome. (I seem to be abusing that word lately. XD; )
