I read somewhere that when the video game revolution really kicked off (mid 80's to mid 90's) our generation were young, playing games like super mario, shinobi, etc...
Now that we've aged, we're looking for games more to our liking. I'll be the 1st to admit, i love playing grand theft. But if i had a son or daughter, would i allow them to play it? HECK NO
Parents need to take a greater responsibility for their kids, and not blame the video game industry. The sales #'s are there, these violent games are popular. By the way, the avg. age video gamer is like 29
I wouldn't let any kid under the age of 18 play GTA or any of those games. Why... b/c you're way too influential in your teens.

Nice piece y0. The sooner parents stop blaming the games and start, y'know, parenting, the sooner sensationalistic crap like this will fade out.
I hope.
