I'm writing a livejournal entry again. I feel very self-conscious about this. I have grown to appreciate internet anonymity a bit over the last year for some reason. I won't ever get tired of staying up late on Friday night, listening to music, reading a book, daydreaming, planning, not having to wake up early the next morning. I've enjoyed doing these things on Fridays nights for a long, long time. I feel like I am a bonafide resident of rural America now. Arcata was an island between big cities but Liberty, NY FEELS rural/in the middle of nowhere. We live where the Cat runs, prowling around old round mountains, between the Hudson and the Delaware, amidst tangles of creeks and dense forest. Graduation stuff was a blur. The main ceremony was outside and there was a thunderstorm. As my lil' cohort stood to be recognized by the president, it started pouring. Obama is coming home tonight. Actually, as I started walking to the library I think his caravan was pulling up. Lots of motorcycles, black trucks, and helicopters. There are barricades and fences and all the streets are closed off around my place. They're looking for a bookstore person and a vegetarian cook for three months.
