I was thinking more about your earlier post today actually, but I was on the way to a friends to watch the NFL games, so I couldn't post another comment!
Another thing you can do is to ask them to leave. Whilst you do your daily practice, if you do it, or meditation, or whatever, just set aside a little time and mentally ask them to leave your house where it's not a good place for them to be and to go to a nice place out in the fields or something. If you've got an old shed nearby or something that's abandoned, you could point that out to them. But just asking them to leave the house is good.
A friend of mine used to give them "fair warning" - tell the critters that she wasn't angry at them and didn't want them to die, but that they might have to go to their next life if they stayed in her house.
Be sure you release the mice at least a mile away from your house. They are supposedly very good at finding their way back "home" using their keen sense of smell.
