Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would mind helping me to interpret a dream that I had of Avalokitesvara. I'm hoping that this is allowed, I double checked the rules, but I didn't see anything about it. Apologies if need be.
I walked into a dimly lit room and it felt cold. In the center of the room was a wooden pillar with a incense wafting around the pillar.
I walked towards the pillar and kneeled down before it; my hands were in prayer position against my chest.
I breathed out slowly and suddenly a snake emerged from the top of the pillar. It circled around the pillar and around me where I was sitting. I was surprised that I remained calm and kept breathing as it coiled around me because I am terrified of snakes and have had several nightmares about them in the past.
The snake slithered off of me and back towards the pillar where it circled up the pillar and when it reached the top, it pointed it's head to me and suddenly the snake was a blinding white light the bodhisattva Avaloktesvara was seated at the top of the pillar; she appeared to be the Chinese representation.
She looked directly into my eyes and I woke up, wide-eyed and completely awake.
After I had awakened, I was breathing quickly but deeply. I felt calm and relaxed and quite happy.
I don't know if there were any messages that the bodhisattva had for me, she never spoke, and I have not had another dream like that since it happened. This was a dream I had about a year ago, but I have not been able to come up with any interpretations for it. There could, however, be none at all and I am quite happy with that if that is the case but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about it.
Thank you.
