Today (well technically yesterday) was my birthday. It was nice, saw a movie with mom, had a nice dinner, and was spoiled with such gifts as chocolate and an external hard drive. My family seemed to find amusement in watching a slightly tipsy me (from dinner) attempting to manage the screws on the hard drive case. I was slightly less than

Here's another happy belated birthday. :D I'm glad you had a good time!

I know what you mean about going through stuff...Every visit home I sort of poke at knick-knacks and assorted papers I don't really need, but I can't make myself get rid of it. I'm a hopeless packrat, and the emotional attachments are the worst. Sure, I probably won't have a place for most of them, but the row of tacky ceramic bunnies were something of an easter tradition (one a year) for a run there, random items were presents Dad brought back with him from business trips, etc etc etc. However gaudy or useless they may be, it seems WRONG to throw them away and yet there's no practical reason to keep it.

Maybe I should either a) pack them up and toss them in the attic, where they're not GONE, exactly, or b)just leave them all there for a few years and hope I can get rid of them later. ;)
